The People's Emergency Briefing
1 Oct 2026,
Cinema, Level 3 Building 42
SUSU
The UK faces a growing climate and nature emergency; join SUSU and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust (HIOWWT) for a free screening of the People's Emergency Briefing. This eye-opening 50-minute film features leading UK scientists and experts who set out, in clear and unflinching terms, what the climate and nature crisis means for our health, food supply, wildlife, national security and economy - and the credible, positive responses already available.
After the film there will be a short open discussion where we look at what we do to tackle the climate and nature emergency together. How should our flagship institutions, including our university, respond to the National Emergency Briefing? How can students play their part?
The screening will take place in the cinema on level 3 of B42. Followed by plant-based refreshments.
Free to attend. Please click on Book Now to reserve your spot.
The event is hosted by Krzysztof Mikulski, Union President at SUSU and Niaṁ Tickner, Planning, Policy and Campaigns Officer at HIOWWT.
