Film Society is a society targeted towards creating a greater sense of community amongst students who both study or just love film!
About Us:
Film Society (FilmSoc) gives students the ability to gather and socialise with other members of the course from all levels in a more structured but fun way. This allows the Film course to be a much more friendly space where people can get to know other like-minded film buffs and therefore has already created a greater sense of community within the course which we felt was missing before. Our socials, usually pub quizzes, film screenings, and social outings, allow students from both undergraduate and postgraduate levels to come together and share their collective interests amongst their peers. Film Society is a great way to meet and discuss your favourite films in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere!

President
- Overlooks the society as a whole and assists with all other committee roles to relieve stress/pressure.
Treasurer
- Manages the bank account of the society, monitoring incoming and outgoing finances.
Welfare Officer
- Ensuring the society is a safe and inclusive space for all students, assisting in creating socials and encouraging more students to become members.
Digital Media Officer
- Managing the society's social media accounts and communications with society member online for inquiries
Events Officer
- Conceptualises and runs events for the film society, such as speakers, trips and more.
Secretary
- Manages the societies bookings for rooms and events, takes notes in meetings and keeps documents in check.

- Conceptualises and runs socials such as film screenings, pub quizzes and more.

Membership Information
These are the current membership fees offered by Film Society, although many clubs and societies offer a free period for new members to try out their activities.
