Koalas Medics Bouldering
Koalas was founded back in 2021, and we’ve been climbing (and vibing) ever since! Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned pro, everyone’s welcome — we’re all about good times and good climbs. We meet every Wednesday evening at Boulder Shack for a fun, relaxed session, and we also host weekly socials and special events throughout the year. Want to get involved? We are a social bouldering society for people of all climbing backgrounds – from total beginners to seasoned pros!
Our weekly sessions run every Wednesday from 6:00pm at Bouldershack (Portswood – bouldershack.co.uk). Sessions cost just £7.50 for Koalas members, plus £3.80 for shoe hire – that’s a saving of £6 every time you climb! On top of that, members also get 10% off at the Bouldershack Café, perfect for a post-climb coffee or snack.
We’ve also got a society WhatsApp group where members can organise extra climbs outside of Wednesdays. Prices for other days can be found here: Bouldershack Prices.
Outside of climbing, we run weekly socials every Saturday, as well as joint events with other societies – so if you’re looking for fun, friendly climbing and plenty of socials, we’re the society for you!
Founded in 2021, we’re still a relatively new group and can’t wait to welcome more people. If you’re new to climbing, just message us on social media before coming along so we can look after you on the day. If you’re already confident, simply turn up at 6:00pm and find us in the Bouldershack Café.
