Kickboxing is a martial art that primarily uses punches, kicks, and throws. We are a friendly society that welcomes everyone, from the complete beginner to people reaching for competition standards, and we have professional instructors to cater for this. Kickboxing is a hand to hand self-defence combat sport that combines punches, kicks and throws. Unlike Muay Thai, elbows and knees are not used in sparring which reduces the risk of injury. We offer a friendly, informal training environment taught by professional instructors over multiple sessions a week. The sessions each have a different focus so you can train as casually or as intensely as you want to!
Sessions (Jubilee Sports Studio 3):
- Monday 8 - 9.30pm sessions:
Tailored towards beginners, or simply if you're looking for something a bit less intense for the week.
- Tuesday 5 - 6.30pm sessions:
A bit more cardio focused and suitable for levels of experience.
- Thursday 6 - 7.30pm sessions:
A more intense session, more tailored to anyone with some previous experience.
- Friday 3 - 4.30pm sessions:
Technique focused with some sparring practice, suitable for all levels.
We also hope to hold opportunities for competing for those who wish to train competitively; please contact us if interested!

WEEK 1 TASTER : 29th September - 5th October ONLY for those who were not a member last year
WEEK 2 TASTER : 6th October - 12th October OPEN TO ALL
Please see our memberships for taster session memberships! Beyond the first week, you will either need a year/semester membership, or can ask a member of committee for more free trial sessions.
We are a wholly inclusive society, and proudly welcome all students who wish to practice this martial art.
