SUSU clubs & societies

SUStrings (String Orchestra)

SUStrings is a friendly and inclusive string orchestra which was founded to provide string musicians the opportunity to play and explore the extensive and varied repertoire for string orchestra. There are no auditions and anyone who plays the violin, viola, cello or double bass is welcome. Occasionally, we may do some difficult pieces that are Grade 5 standard or above, but everyone is more than welcome to come and have a go at the pieces. We rehearse weekly, perform at least one concert per term and one tour per academic year.

Rehearsals: Every Monday 7-9pm in the Maths Common Room (B56).
To keep up to date with what's going on go to our Linktree [https://linktr.ee/sustrings] to find our social media and join our whatsapp community. Our taster rehearsal is on 21st September!

*Harpists are welcome to come as well but majority of pieces won't have a specific part but you can still join and play along!
