Figure Skating
The University of Southampton's Figure Skating Club offers on-ice sessions and off-ice sessions, as well as fun socials! Whether you're new to skating or experienced, it's a great way to improve your skills and connect with others!
Welcome to the University of Southampton’s Figure Skating Club! ⛸️💙
Whether you have been skating for years or have never stepped on the ice before, we are here to help you learn, improve and enjoy the sport. Our club is open to all abilities and all students, everyone is welcome! We run on-ice sessions designed to build skills, fitness and confidence, with our coach and fellow members always ready to support you. Skating is a fantastic way to try something new, challenge yourself and have fun along the way.
Outside of skating, we run a variety of socials from relaxed non-drinking events to bigger group activities, so there is always a way to get involved and feel part of the club. Whether you want to make friends, try a new hobby, or push yourself on the ice, whatever your personal goals, there’s plenty of room to challenge yourself and have fun!
If you just want to give it a go, or aren't ready to commit to a full semester membership, this year we have a weekly 'pay as you go' option available! For details on this please check our WhatsApp group, which you can find on our instagram page.

President
- The president will oversee all of the societies and committee activities, as well as all types of communication between committee members and the society. The president will also organize the committee meetings and oversee the weekly sessions. President must also supply a membership breakdown and give updates to members where necessary.
Treasurer
- The treasurer will manage the society's account and all related transactions, as well as making weekly transactions. You will oversee the membership status of each member, and paying the rink for weekly sessions. You will also produce a final checklist from the weekly sign up sheet to see who has paid for the session.
Welfare and Inclusion Officer
- The Welfare and Inclusion Officer shall provide welfare pursuits for the Group’s Members, and offer academic advice in conjunction with the course representatives of the Students’ Union.
