Welcome to the wonderful world of tap dancing! Tap dance society offers three classes every Wednesday, for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Our lovely qualified tap teacher combines technical steps with funky moves and jazz hands to create a perfect stress relief from uni work! Our aim is to give dancers a chance to learn something brand new, improve their technique and ability, but mostly to have fun and get involved in a friendly and sociable society. In second semester, all three classes have the opportunity to perform in the annual USD Pure Dance show for which each class prepares a routine! We also have an intermediate and advanced tap squad who represent us at inter-university competitions across the UK including, Southampton’s own event!
