We’re excited to announce the first Southampton Marrow Medical Conference, taking place on 30th September as part of our work for Blood Cancer Awareness Month. A joint fundraiser for Anthony Nolan and Room With A View, we are excited to be joined by a variety of guests talking about their lifesaving role in blood cancer research and treatment delivery.

Our speakers include:
Nurses from The Southampton Post-Graduate Medical and Dental Foundation with first-hand experience of delivering treatment.
Erin Harris, ex-Marrow volunteer and Anthony Nolan staff, sharing her story and how stem cell research and treatment change lives.
Dr Lam Khuat, a University of Southampton researcher, with a talk on his research of the haematopoietic microbiome.
Representatives from Southampton and National Marrow, exploring how the Marrow network contributes to the Anthony Nolan stem cell register.

Marrow is the student-led branch of Anthony Nolan, a charity that recruits people to the stem cell register in order to provide lifesaving stem cell transplants for people with blood cancer and other blood disorders.
