Ukrainian Society

We are a group of committed students, wanting to create a safe and supporting space for all the Ukrainians at the University of Southampton. As more and more Ukrainians join the community there is a vital need for representation and support, and we are ready to take this pivotal step. We wish to create an inclusive environment, and we are welcoming people of all nationalities to join us and cheer Ukrainian culture together!

President
  • The President shall oversee the organisation and management of the Group and the Committee as a whole; ensure the officers’ accountability to Members, the Committee, and the Students’ Union; and represent the Group to all external interests.
Dmytro Avdieienko
Treasurer
  • The Treasurer shall oversee the financing of the Group, set the Group's budget, and maintain the accounts of the Group.
Kseniia Nesterenko
VP Welfare
  • The VP Welfare shall provide assistance to committee members whenever there is any need and look after the wellbeing of members of the society, ensuring everyone is included.
Stepan Stepanenko
Confectionary Officer
  • The Confectionary Officer shall provide snacks, food and drinks for all small scale social activities.
Mariya Gomzyakova
Outreach Officer
  • The Outreach Officer shall communicate the Group’s activities to Members and the Students’ Union, and any external groups the Group may affiliate with.
Ralph Wilson
Secretary
  • The Secretary shall oversee the administration of the Group, take minutes at General Meetings and Meetings of the Committee, and maintain the register.
Daniel Zymnyy
Social Secretary
  • The Social Secretary shall provide social and cultural pursuits for the Group’s Members on a smaller scale, such as nights out. They shall also support, and be supported by, the Outreach Officer in the promotion for Group ethos.
Sofiia Doloh
Webmaster
  • The Webmaster shall manage social media accounts.

  • The Webmaster shall manage social media accounts.

Membership Information

These are the current membership fees offered by Ukrainian Society, although many clubs and societies offer a free period for new members to try out their activities.
